1971 Ford Falcon 500 s/w 250 2V
Summary:
A wicked burnout car
Faults:
The Gearbox is on its last legs, soon to be replaced with a 4 speed floor change (at the moment its got a 3 on-the-tree) left hand passenger seat is stuffed (according to my mate; I never sit there) dropped a valve at 8,500rpm, fixed now though.
General Comments:
Handles like a race-car, that's probably because no air can get under it, its pretty low... even lower when the front spoiler goes on, motor has been re-conditioned, just put spotlights on it, has brand new Hankook tyres wrapped around "Globe" mag wheels, engine has been bored 060, approx. 270ci, hot cam, racing pistons, ported and polished, flows, 350 Holley, bigger valves, ALL RUNNING THROUGH A STANDARD GEARBOX + DIFF!!! (which must be about to go aswell... NO MORE BURNOUTS!!!)
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I remember my father having one of these Falcon 500 cars, and honestly don't remember him having any trouble at all, except an annoying leak from the front part of the exhaust system which gave off a 'ticking' sound when the engine was running.I remember it had very good acceleration.

A great car for driving over other peoples letterboxes.
