1988 Ford Falcon S pak 3.9L CPI
Summary:
Great high powered, reliable car, would buy another
Faults:
Nothing to date.
General Comments:
Changed to LPG just after I brought it, burns the rubber like a V8 and hammers like one too.
Very stock looking, but still has heaps of power.
Better than the old X series as the door handles don't break easy.
Very comfortable and roomy car.
Some people say you loose power with LPG but I didn't notice it, and neither did the dyno test.
This car has enough power to leave my mate's 2006 Honda Accord for dead at the lights, and it even leaves a 2006 V8 Commodore.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

Agree with this assessment. My daily driver is a 30th anniversary EA series II falcon S. For a $1800 vehicle it represents excellent all round value for money. It is entirely rust-free with straight panels and unblemished red duco. It has dark window tints and sits low. It's a comfortable car to drive, and for a stock 4 speed auto is a suprisingly good performer. I have no trouble getting from zero to 80 km/h in about 5 to 5.5 sec - must be the diff ratio.
The fuel economy is quite reasonable. I have extracted about 630-650 km on 68 liters on the open road - about 9 km per liter
