Every man's dream come true
Nothing has gone wrong - and I don't expect it will.
Only small gripe is memory seat buttons have fallen in a little to the seat.
Having avoided Ford at all costs, and having Diamantes and Legends, this was a chance buy, and what an amazing decision it turned out to be.
I average about 7.0/100 on a trip, and that's exercising the engine a little; these are limited to 200, I know there is much more there - how do I turn it off?
Round town economy is 11/100, so not too bad, but it has a comfy ride, and the extra stuff the G6E comes with from the G6 even at 9k more is very worthwhile; reversing camera, all the lux stuff, rear air con is great for the kids, full size spare alloy, heavy duty 2.3 t towbar.
Handling is superb, and as good as the old RS6, even though this RWD. When I turn off the traction (litigation button), all the fun starts, but I don't even feel the wheels spinning as it's so well balanced). My wife hits the button to turn it back on :(
Anyways, gone are the old Fords, and this is a remarkable feat for Ford and very European in look, feel and drive. Makes the Commodore look like an old Kingswood.

Best car I've ever driven by far
Nothing has gone wrong.
Very refined feeling car to drive, power is amazing and transmission very very good
Handling and ride are exceptional, far better than previous model.
Seats are very comfortable and love the memory function.
Technology level is a real step forward and catches the Europeans.

Drove an FG XR6 rental car a couple of weeks ago... what an amazing fun car! Runs rings around the BA and I thought that was pretty good. 6 speed auto makes all the difference. Caned it up the length of the North Island, but still did reasonable fuel economy. Steering very tight and responsive, kicks the tail out nicely with ESP off. In all earlier Falcons it was a bit scary taking corners at speed, but you feel in absolute control behind the wheel of an FG. Ford really needs to export this car to the US, it would be an absolute hit. Sometimes I despair at Ford's management decisions.
Waiting for Ford to come up with one of those great lease deals to get one of these.
Bring back the Falcon Wagon! And not a silly 'sportwagon' like the VE Holden, something that can carry a proper sized load. The Falcon Wagon was a marketing misadventure; first mistake was dropping the XR in 1997, followed by dropping the Fairmont and Fairmont V8 when the BA came out in '02, along with a serious slash in features. Third mistake was failing to introduce the 6 speed as an option. We need a new range of wagons, in XT, XR6, G6, and Turbo guise. With fuel prices up for good, a well marketed wagon range will draw back buyers from SUVs, who would otherwise downsize to a smaller diesel SUV - which Ford doesn't offer. So it wouldn't steal sales from the Territory.

Well presented, comfortable interior, great features, with some fun bits that can add a personal touch to the way the car works, such as being able to set some of the operating parameters through the ICC.
Poor quality speakers spoil the audio.
Good looks; the new tonneau cover is clean, and is probably easier to use too.
Smooth engine with heaps of performance, with the five speed automatic adding to the liveliness.
Nice notes when pushing a bit harder.
Sports seats are comfortable without locking you into one position.
Nice dash layout, but takes a little getting used to.
Firm, but not overly harsh ride.

I'm not sure how you are calculating your fuel consumption figures, but they are way off. We have a few of these at work and they average closer to 14L/100kms in traffic and 8L/100kms on the freeway, and even then that's only when you keep the revs low.
