Faults:

A/C wasn't blowing cold when we purchased. I tried recharging it but to no avail. A common fault which I was aware of.

The starter motor failed soon after purchasing which I replaced myself (an interesting job!). Apparently another common fault.

'Check Engine' light came on randomly shortly after purchase. Diagnosed as the knock sensor, which I replaced myself while swapping out the starter motor. Would have been a sh**ty job otherwise, as it's located under the intake manifold (which I had removed to take the starter out).

General Comments:

Despite the faults and poor fuel consumption, we are actually very happy with our CR-V. It isn't a high performer, but it gets along fine on the open road. Comfort is OK.
