1990 Nissan 300ZX Z32 3.0 petrol

Summary:

The Japanese Ferrari

Faults:

Bought it from a very dodgy dealer here, so it's not all the cars fault:

IACV valve went at 245xxx.

Came with an oil leak, $750 to fix.

Many hoses needed replacing.

Often refuses to start, stalls sometimes.

General Comments:

Wouldn't recommend one unless you're an enthusiast.

This was my dream car since I was little, it truly is the Japanese Ferrari. Fantastic power and grip.

It's the 97th most beautiful car in the world apparently (and should be at least 20th).

Beauty and power, at a price.

Don't forget some of these cars are 20+ years old, so all the hoses would be due to be replace etc. The only problem is that you have to take the motor out to get to all of them.

I'm going to get my 1st car, which is a 300zx, in a few days. Tried it out yesterday; super fast, and kept turning heads :D.

1990 Nissan 300ZX 3.0 NA V6

Summary:

Excellent

Faults:

Seatbelts don't retract properly sometimes.

Rear engine seal fault at 92000 km.

General Comments:

An awesome car to drive, quick, handles like a dream, and looks the part as well. Extremely advanced for a now 17 year old car, has features that still aren't stock on higher end new cars. Full electrics (windows mirrors seats, aerial etc)

However the boots lid weighs a tonne, requires both arms to lift, and it is won't to burn some serious rubber, tyre replacements are needed every 30000km or so.

1990 Nissan 300ZX 3.0 liter 24 valve N/A

Summary:

With looks and performance... It's a winner

Faults:

Only problem with the car is the manual transmission, synchros in 3rd and 4th are grinding occasionally.

One headlight blew.

General Comments:

Very good Japanese sports car.

For a non-turbo I have found this car to be very quick and handles very well.

The 300ZX really gives you the feel of a true sports car.
