1997 Nissan Primera CVT M6 2.0 SR20VE

Summary:

A lot of car for the money!

Faults:

Nothing - it's been pretty sweet really.

General Comments:

The motor is pretty good, really economical when driven smooth/slow, but has great over taking performance that will surprise most people in it - so it's great for long/medium distance commutes.

Also, it can easy carry 5 people as it's a big sedan, and the torque of the motor means it does not struggle.

1997 Nissan Primera Camino CVT 2.0 petrol

Summary:

All I could wish is Nissan should use a 2.5L V6 engine on this wagon

Faults:

When bought, one side mirror failed to fold back.

General Comments:

Suspension is hard, not as comfortable as Toyota.

CVT is great, but little bit rattle when is in low speed.

2.0 DOHC engine is powerful, but little noisy (may be fussy, but compared to my old 1.5L Nissan, which is a great small car).

In general, this car is superb when you think of same year Camry wagon's price. CVT is something fascinating, specially when speed is over 80km/h, feels very smooth.

Wagon shape is robust not like those new one (too feminine).

Want to thank to the previous Japanese. owner who had been careful and nearly changed everything (oil, air filter, brake pads and two new Goodyear tyres in front) when he/she sold this car to NZ.

I'm interested in the fuel consumption (km/L) and the optimum speed where consumption is lowest for the vehicle.
