Faults:

Lots, but mostly just wear and tear parts replaced over the years.

General Comments:

Bought this Camry many years ago for reliability and high mileage, and it has done that very well.

Economical to run and drives very smoothly. 2.2 with the auto is a great daily driver.

The car looks sharp also, love the look of the 2000 model Camry. Comfortable interior.

It is known to have legendary reliability for a reason, these cars are the best, even more reliable than my previous early 1990's Civic.

The car is 22 years old but shows no signs of stopping, I will have this car till the end, love it. Change the oil and belts as scheduled and you have reliability matched with no other.

Faults:

- Front wheel bearings.

- Stock exhaust manifold.

- Thermostat housing.

General Comments:

A no thrills car really. Whilst not the flashest cars, the engine and gearbox have been super reliable. I have taken it on trips that consist of 1800km on four occasions without a problem. On one of those occasions, the wheel bearings were worn so it wasn't the most pleasant, but with cruise control it's very easy to get where you need to go.

Biggest downfalls of the car will have to be the brakes aren't as responsive as some modern cars, the interior is not flashy but is comfy, the stock exhaust manifold warped and I had to replace it with an aftermarket pair of extractors which rub against the gearbox, so under load create an annoying noise.

All in all, if you are student or traveller looking for something reliable, I seriously recommend this car.

I have replaced the radio aerial.

And also the coolant bottle.

General Comments:

This is a great car for a family. It has everything I want in a car.

Faults:

Nothing, just a blown headlight bulb which is wear and tear.

General Comments:

Comfortable and reliable and practical and safe, Camrys are white goods on wheels, I actually bought a fridge and managed to fit it in the station wagon though!

But performance is only adequate. I have now sold this car because the performance was somewhat frustrating and with rising petrol prices, it was not so economical. Bought a 2002 Corolla 1.8, more economical and nimbler.
