1989 Alfa Romeo 75 2.0 T.D 2.0 T.D.
Summary:
Maintained 75 2.0 TD is probably best-buy due to their low market price
Faults:
Water pump at 235,000km.
Driver seat got stuck, so had to get a new one.
Lots of problems with "cardan" joints, I changed 3 joints in a year.
Servo pump not working, oil leaks all over the place.
Plastic inside (dashboard) makes a lot of weird sometimes annoying sound for people that are not used to the car.
Trunk lock got suck.
R window got stuck.
Oil sensor broke.
General Comments:
I really enjoy driving this car. I got it for a cheap price, lots of kilometers, but it was well maintained.
I found it very comfortable; I had a chance to go to Wienna few time with it and I enjoyed it a lot better than the ride I took with 146 (one time I went with 146, 1.4 boxer)
Although it is a diesel it has no real "Alfa" sound, but it is nice to hear turbo charger whistling when you go over 2500 rpm. nice acceleration too!
Cheap to maintain, lots of used parts from Italy :-)
Great on gas-mileage!!!
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
