2008 Citroen C4 Picasso 1.8

Summary:

Apart from great comfort and driving performance, the car is rubbish

Faults:

The car is leaking in the cabin, left edge of the driver`s seat got wrecked, although I weigh 72kg.

It leaked 8 times, twice from the roof above the driver's seat, 3 times in luggage space, twice on roof, right side rear passenger seat, and once the front passenger floor had a 5cm deep water puddle. Now it's at the mechanics for another leaking problem.

General Comments:

The car has a 1.8 petrol engine, handles great, very comfy.

To change the front left bulbs is pain in the neck.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? No

The day when the Citroen dealer handed over my Citroen Picasso 1.8 2009 model keys, I was so proud as well as my wife. We trade in a 2004 C4 coupe, which we loved. But what a unpleasant surprise. Where the previous car was a full house, this car was half of it. 50KM away from the dealer, we turned back to claim our old car back, and we tried everything, but with no success. This Picasso C4 is surely the most uncomfortable car I have ever driven. The front seats can adjust up and down, but that is all, it still stays in the layback position, and that is not good for long distance drives, especially for the driver. For me, after 200km, I am tired and stiff to get out the car.

The radio is a problem because it heated up so well that you cannot play a CD in the player, and it's needless to ask the dealers to fix it or replace it.

The headrest is too far back, and you have to bend your neck too far backwards.

Our Citroen is now parked under the carport and forgotten with 16000km after a year, for nearly 6 months now. It is more a pleasure to take a ride at long distances in my GONOW bakkie for R129000 in 2007. Because you are not tired after 1400km, and speed and power is no problem.
