2016 Mitsubishi Space Star 1.2
Summary:
It does the job it is supposed to do
Faults:
Nothing so far.
General Comments:
This review refers to the model which is sold as the Space Star in continental Europe, but as the Mirage in many other places.
It's a nice little runabout. The steering is a little vague, turn-in seems disconnected from steering wheel input at times and the car will understeer freely if you try to get a move on. The engine is quite lively, and the gearbox is quite good, although you do have to fish around for 3rd gear sometimes, especially if you try to snatch the change from 2nd to 3rd. Getting reverse can sometimes be tricky, but the car makes some delightful noises to let you know that you haven't got it right...
I can't get comfortable in the car, as the seat will not slide back far enough and the seat-lowering system only lowers the rear portion of the seat, creating a hole rather than making the seat actually lower in any useful way. The interior is basic and functional, and the rear seats can just about take 3 children if one of them is tall/old enough not to need a car seat. The boot is surprisingly spacious due to the low floor.
All in all, if you're fairly short and need a little simple runabout, this car does the job.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Don't Know
