1999 Seat Ibiza GT TDi 1.9 turbo diesel
Summary:
Volkswagen quality at Seat prices, extremely powerful engine
Faults:
So far there were no big problems, the keypad for the electric mirrors was a little lose, but that was easily fixed by me with a drop of super-glue.
Also, the grids of the speakers on the dashboard became lose as two plastic pins broke, again super-glue did the job perfectly.
Absolutely no problems with the engine or it`s periphery so far.
General Comments:
This is my first diesel and after I had it one week I was already so convinced that I can insure my next car will be a TD again. It has so much torque you can stay in the 4th gear and the speed goes up from 60km/h to 100km/h in 6 seconds. No need to change gear if you want to pass some cars. Just wait a second after stepping down the pedal to let the turbo build up pressure and then it goes like hell!
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
