2006 Maruti Alto LXi 0.8 petrol
Summary:
Great car!
Faults:
Had to replace the clutch plates at 12k (whoever heard of that), but it was covered by the warranty.
General Comments:
Great value for money!
I have always got 16+ kms per litre in the city, even with AC.
Excellent car for small families.
Rear leg room is very limited - comfortable only for kids.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

This is sure great. This is because this car has got a Daewoo Matiz engine, which was copied by Suzuki motors in 1998 when the Matiz was launched all over the world.
This car came in India after 2000. The car was sold in Japan with named Suzuki Alto. This car has very reliable engine, thanks to Daewoo Motors, but some how I feel in India this car has sold on large scale, but still Maruti didn't improve its upcoming models, good for nothing Maruti.
I own a Daewoo Matiz, but there is lot of difference when I have driven an Alto in comparison with the Matiz.
Daewoo Matiz rules.

No pulling on steep hills with 4 passengers. I had a difficult time on a small cut road, which is a bit steep with my parents and wife at Anchal, Kollam, Kerala.

I will say the Alto is my first love, my first car. This is great. Beyond comparison.
