2010 Toyota Altis V 2.0
Summary:
Give me back my old Altis!!!
Faults:
Sometimes the gas doesn't feel right. It often deliver some unwanted acceleration.
General Comments:
I was satisfied with the previous Altis that I owned, so I decided to buy another Altis, and this time it's the new one. I choose the silver color, which looks elegant in my opinion. The car feels bigger than the old Altis; the dealer said that the new Altis is wider. I test drove it and I decided to buy it.
It seems that Toyota has improved the gas response. Unlike the previous Altis, you don't need to give it a lot of gas to make this car go fast. However, day by day, I started to realize that the gas somehow feels jumpy. The engine is rougher and noisier than the old one. I was okay with it for the first month, but day by day, the engine noise started to disturb me.
Another thing is the steering feeling; it feels too loose and too lightweight compared to the old one. This is not a big problem, but it would be better if Toyota put some more weight on the steering wheel.
The interior feels less solid compared to the old one. When I knock the dashboard, a loud knock sound was heard. I wasn't expecting this, as I thought the newer would be better than the previous one. But I was wrong.
In addition to my complaints, when I close the cargo door, a cheap sound is made. This is very disappointing, and I want my old Altis back.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? No

I think the dashboard copied the Suzuki Grand Vitara.
