Faults:

Fuel pump replaced after 190000 km.

Starter replaced after 2 years.

The brakes replaced after 2 years.

Alarm replaced after 1 year.

General Comments:

Very inexpensive car to buy and maintain.

The parts are cheap and the service easy.

This car is better than a 306 or Renault.

Good ride in the city, and on the open road.

Max speed is about 100-115 kmh.

Good buy for the money - my next car will be the Xsara.

Faults:

Nothing at all - only regular wear.

General Comments:

My best car ever, and it easily competes with cars costing double the price! Cornering and braking are exceptional. I miss power steering when parking.

The 1.6l engine is quick but a bit noisy. It is thirsty, both regarding fuel and oil, but nothing out of the ordinary.

Great comfort.

Faults:

Right front disc was replaced at 80000 km.

General Comments:

Great car. Comfortable like any other Citroen, but without the problematic engine and suspension.

Good deal of economical engine, roomy and fun to drive.

The perfect compact car for the Israeli horrible roads.

Not my first and for sure not my last Citroen.

Faults:

The electric Bosch engine unit.

Petrol rubber pipe leaked.

General Comments:

A fun to drive car with exceptional steering capabilities. The car literally irons curves with comfort and assurance.

The engine although economic and powerful, is not sports like. It lives too well in the low revs and doesn't provide enough power at higher revs. The car definitely could use a more powerful engine (maybe the 16v does the job).

Faults:

Frequentt brake lining changes.

Oil pressure gauge doesn't work.

Some lights on the instrument panel don't work

The driver's seat is squeaky and not stable.

Wind noise and squeaky plastic parts.

Water condensation cap failed and was replaced by an improved cap with a tighter spring (I live in a very hot country).

A/C compressor failed due water entering from beneath the car.

Rubber bands on the rear shelf lost their tension (on each and every ZX I saw).

General Comments:

Fun to drive, but lacks some punch.

Not as comfortable as the Citroen name may imply.

Small reliability problems.

Needs 20-30 bhp extra.
