1997 SsangYong Korando 602EL 2.9
Summary:
The best diesel off road car for its price!
Faults:
My gear cables snapped as a result of hardened mud caught in the aluminum shrink covering the gear cables. The cables are cheap to replace.
General Comments:
This car has a very comfortable ride on and offroad due to its gas shock absorbers.
When in need of parts it is cheaper to buy them at a Mercedes dealer than in the Daewoo dealership.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I have a 1997 Ssangyong Korando and live in Spain - It has just had its' official roadtest 'ITV' (know in England as MOT) and have been told I need registration documents for the factory fitted 'bull bars' - large additional bumper at front - can anyone tell me how I can find this?

I have Korando 602EL,2.9 diesel. It was produced in 1998, and I don't know it was with turbo-diesel or not. Right now I am absolutely sure that my car is one without turbo. Mechanics say that they have never seen a Korando before, and didn't see a difference between diesel and atmospheric diesel.
Please, can Korando owners or true mechanics help me with this?

Is it easy to obtain spare parts for a 1998 Ssang Yong Korando 2.9 I diesel? I have heard that differentials especially are almost impossible to obtain. I would really appreciate your reply.
