1986 Mitsubishi Cordia GSR Turbo 1.8 SOHC Turbo
Summary:
A fantastic car that for its age and price can't be beaten on performance, comfort and looks
Faults:
To date the only problem I've had is the clutch which disintegrated, but this was due to my own stupidity. Other than that I've never had a problem with it.
General Comments:
I used to think my old car, a NA cordia went well, till I purchased this beast which made me realise how slow my old car was. I left it stock for a little then had a 2.5 inch exhaust fitted along with a high flow cat which made a noticeable increase in performance and noise. I also added an electronic boost controller which allows me to select high or standard boost.
I regret not buying a leaded model as they are faster but this one was in such good condition that I had to get it. But the unleaded models get the bigger brakes, and better fit and finish than the leaded models. Also the smaller turbo makes them a lot more responsive despite having less power.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
