1993 Nissan Sunny GTi-R 2.0 16v turbo petrol
Summary:
Power, handling and comfort for under £10k. The best car I have ever owned
Faults:
I needed to replace 3 wheel studs on the front after just 300 miles. This only cost me £20 so you can't complain.
General Comments:
The interior is a bit bland. Comfortable seats and air-con are a bonus. But do you care about that? NO! You care about how this thing goes! 0-60 in just 5.4 seconds makes this little hatchback an adrenalin rush to drive.
With its superb 4x4 system, wet corners and roundabouts become your favourite place! Half the price of an Escort Cosworth / Mitsubishi Lancer / Suburu Impreza with equal performance. I can only think of a handful of cars that can keep with the Sunny. If you can put up with the "My Grandad has got a Sunny" jokes then buy one now! After test driving one of these you will be hooked! With plenty of aftermarket parts you can increase the Sunny's performance to well over 300bhp which will hit 60 in under 4.5 seconds.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
