2006 Toyota Harrier 240G 2.4 petrol

Summary:

Reliable, good, and value-for-money

Faults:

1) The ABS and brake light on the dashboard lit up from time to time. Getting that sorted by the authorised service dealer.

2) Front cupholder sliding mechanism is stuck.

General Comments:

The Harrier is a comfortable and luxurious SUV, and my passengers have had nothing but praise for it.

I previously drove the Camry 2.4, and the Harrier feels roomier and has a more commanding ride on the road in comparison.

Acceleration is spot-on, and fuel consumption is okay for a big size SUV.

This SUV is very quiet inside, and the built-in sound system is above average.

Lots of aftermarket optional items available, and it shares parts with the Lexus RX.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I would appreciate it if someone could advise me on the VDU (visual display unit) system and computer in the Harrier. They're in Japanese. I'm not sure how to change the language to English?

It's not possible to change the language of the Toyota Harrier into English. However, the features are very similar to the Lexus RX 300.

Hello, my name is Dennis Pfumelah and I own a 2004 Harrier new shape. Yes it's true you cannot change the language on the VDU, but you can have it translated into English by an application called Google Translate available on the Google Store. Summary:

Worth for money

Faults:

So far, only the leather seats are a bit weary.

Lights in the dash cluster might not illuminate and needs replacing.

Fuel consumption is average.

English manual is a hard find.

General Comments:

Good all rounder vehicle.

Its very robust and has good performance.

Cabin is spacious and well trimmed.

Mcu10 is a 2wd and has better fuel consumption than the 4wd.

Handles well though big, ad has a car feel.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Don't Know

Me too just got one of this mcu10... 3.0 2wd... drives great and need some adjustment of the time and some inputs on the display...

1997 Toyota Harrier RS300 3.0

Summary:

Best all rounder I have ever bought

Faults:

I need to install a baby car seat in the centre of the back seat and discovered that the car does not have a centre seat belt. Is it easy to get one installed?

General Comments:

Absolutely love the car. Will upgrade to the Lexus same range budget permitting.
