2000 Cadillac DeVille DHS
Faults:
TCC sensor.
Air bags sensor.
Crankshaft sensor.
Secondary air intake.
General Comments:
The car runs great, every time I get a new car, and I mean new, because it's new with me no last year haha, I buy the repair manual, that way I can see which codes correspond to each malfunction.
The TCC sensor at the dealer just for the replacement is 2500 dollars, the sensor costs 45 dollars at Kragen, I got it replaced for 150 dollars at a local repair shop, it's very easy to change, you have to bring down the trans and you will see the burned end of it.
The air bag sensor most of the times does not need replacement, only turn off your car, pull off the key, be very careful and look for a yellow cable in the rear left side under the seat. Unplug it, blow air and plug it in again. Problem fixed. Reset your codes and that's it,
Secondary air A & B about 180 dollars each on eBay. DELCO part of course. It's as easy as changing a tire. Replace both, because from factory the hose doesn't come with a housing to prevent water ingestion.
For the last crankshaft sensor, I am beginning to research the fix so I get a better result and price for it.
Email me, I am a lawyer, but my hobby is Cadi fixing.
