Reliable, comfortable and safe cruiser.
What a great engine! Smooth, but strong.
In comparison with a modern European car this full size American navigates something like a boat on freeways.

An Olds 98 with 100k is VERY far from worn out. With modern oils and maintenance they go three times that distance.
I live in Sweden and drove a 22 year old 79 for two years as a daily driver. It had well over 200k and cruised at 100 MPH effortlessly and apart from some spots, it looked great too!

The 1979 Olds 98 Regency is not top of the line car from GM, but it was very nice luxury car. Rides like a cadillac.
