2006 Acura CSX Premium 2.0L non turbo gasoline VTEC
Summary:
Good value - still a pleasure to sit in and drive at 9 1/2 years of age
Faults:
Repairs other than regular have been:
- Wiper motor when intermittent feature stopped working.
- Air conditioner had some work.
- Brake calipers (big $).
- Some suspension components replaced.
General Comments:
Engine has always run extremely well - nice sound - VTEC I guess.
Engine oil is pretty well clear until 9000km or so after change. Usually 9500 to 10000 km between services.
Interior is holding up very well - other than the rubber on the driver's door that gets grazed by my foot when I get in and out.
Very spacious for its size especially with the ability to fold down the back seat.
Haven't had to change a single light bulb.
Have Michelin tires on now - the original set and the 2nd set were the Goodyears that Acura selected. The Michelins are wearing slightly better - but both are good tires.
Smooth shifting.
Loves to be driven.
Have Acura service for B-services - it's expensive - but hopefully keeps the car going to 350000km or so.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

Sunday, Nov 20, 2011 - Update on my review - The CSX now has 2 problems. On the highway it sways from side to side. It does not feel safe at all. I have 2 children and I don't need this. Also, while driving, there is a loud bumpy noise as if the tires are bad, although my tires are new. But I got my winter rims on, and still there is this bumpy noise while driving.
