Faults:

Windshield cowl (wipers) removed, sanded, primed and repainted. Rear (Trunk) filler panel (just above the bumper) replaced (perforated rust). These are known parts to rust, seen on other vintage legends.

Coolant reservoir light comes ON intermittently over time. Mechanic cleans and it restores to normal. Highway drive after Winter hiatus, engine light comes ON, off after restart.

Crest of driver's seat surface leather "cracks" repair, shoe polish, looks new. Leather needs lanolin, dries out quickly.

Seat memory door switch, looses its accuracy.

Does not like cold Winter's, hard start, system memory lamps show malfunction (off on warm restart).

Limited trunk space. Hard front-end ride, typical Honda.

2-D coupe (single driver) very different from 4-D sedan (family), counsel and dash different, wider doors.

General Comments:

Styling, a WOW car. All leather, power roof. Weight, 4,068 lbs. Yokohama rally tires. Everything Japanese (spoiler from Japan, original equipment). 14 years old, emissions test; HC ppm 14, CO% 0.01, NO ppm 49. Double window tint driver and front passenger, blue stripe over top windshield. No blind spots with mirrors, heated seats, lumbar support. Responsive engine, 17-19.8 mpg, city, idle 800-650 rmp, and computerized fuel injection. Original black paint shines with reflection. On-board center dash computer read-out, outstanding. 107,000 KM, mint.

Faults:

I had to replace the boots on the front of the car. Except for that, nothing else went wrong.

General Comments:

Great car. I love the way it handles and the space and comfort of the car.

The car has great acceleration.

I am a little disappointed with the gas mileage of the car. On long trips, I can get about 300 miles to the tank.

No rusting and the seats look great.

The sunroof makes the car feel more open.

I love the back windows because they roll down. You don't see that too much in coupes.

Overall, I would give the car a 9 out of 10.

Faults:

The CV boots had to be replaced.

The catalytic converter is going bad.

The leather on the seats is beginning to tear.

The CD player shorts out and does not come on sometimes.

General Comments:

The car has had very few problems considering the mileage, what other car would run so good with 256,000 miles on it.

Faults:

Hey everyone... um I bought my 1990 Acura Legend just a couple of weeks ago. I only bought the car for $150 because the 5 speed manual tranny was broken, and the person who had the car before me had it all tricked out, and decided that he was going to take the spoiler and rims... so I'm left with having to go out and replace the rims, and tranny...

General Comments:

Overall it's a beautiful car, and I love it... can't believe it's a 1990. The engine is slightly modified, and runs awesome. Hopefully it won't be long till I get it back on the road, but if you are thinking about buying one, I say go and do it, you won't be unhappy. Lots of horsepower and speed, awesome handling, comfortable ride, they make performance parts for it.

It's not the best with gas; it uses some gas, but it's a V6 2.7 in a car that would run with a 4 cylinder. The extra two cylinders add a little kick and fun.
