General Comments:

I own a 91 Acura NSX. It's in very good shape, especially for being 20 years old.

I've done a few modifications, along with maintenance issues.

There's a twin plate OS Giken racing clutch installed.

An APR GTC performance racing wing.

Top of the line Pioneer DVD navigation radio.

Top of the line Pioneer component speakers.

BF Goodrich racing tires, rated at 180 mph.

Custom wheels by Motegi BLACK.

I've owned Firebirds, Trans Am, Corvettes, z28; nothing compares to the NSX, it's on a totally different level. The attention it draws is phenomenal. People that are normal just start conversations, and just glow asking me about the NSX.

As far as it beating the Corvettes, CR5 or not, who over the age of 10 yrs old CARES??? It's a super exotic car, PERIOD.

Faults:

The door and center console trim surface bubbled and separated from the plastic core material, probably due to the high heat in Arizona.

General Comments:

This is the most fun high-performance sports car I have ever driven. The handling is incredible. Steering is lightning quick, but the engine could use a little more torque down low.

My NSX is not bone stock. It has been lowered 2" from stock height, I've got 18" wheels front & back, and Matrix racing seats with 5 point harnesses. The car is probably one of the sexiest exotics out there.

Handling wise, the thing rocks. The stock horsepower & torque figures are a little disappointing though. My next investment will have to be a Comptech roots-type blower, delivering around 8psi of boost, to get the power to match the outrageous looks of a car such as this. Most of you people out there who will read this will say "What's wrong with this guy? The NSX is fast enough, blah, blah, blah. Trust me, after you drive a Viper, Z06, or a Ferrari F355, you will realize that the NSX is lacking big time in comparison.

Honda has done a great job making this car ultra reliable. But in a world of 400hp+ sports cars, the NSX can't keep up in stock form. This is a car that really should have had at least 450hp to realize it's true driving potential. The car's handling & suspension could definitely support that amount of power.

Faults:

The 1991 and some of the 1992 NSX's have a transmission problem, which stems from the snap ring. Mine fell into this category, and cost me $2,000 to fix. The problem causes the car's shifter to wiggle around and pop out of gear (very annoying). For more info, see www.nsxprime.com.

The car also has faulty window regulators, which causes the power window to cease from working. Also very expense ($500/regulator).

Other than assembly problems, the car has run like a gem.

General Comments:

The reason why I bought the car was because of its Honda reputation. The NSX does lack some acceleration, but it handles like no other and gets excellent gas mileage. I am planning on buying a newer model sometime in the future.
