2003 Acura TL Type S 3.2 liter V6
Summary:
Best daily driver I have ever had
Faults:
The 3.2 TL is one of the best cars on the road.
I previously owned a CL coupe, and it was perfect even at 150,000 miles.
The people complaining or worrying about their TL tranny problems must know that Acura has put out a nation wide warranty for all 2000-2003 Acura 3.2Tl cars that is 7 years/100,000 miles on your tranny. If your car seems to be having tranny problems at anytime, repairs or replacment are free if you car fits this criteria.
Honda and Toyota, who also make Acura and Lexus, are the most reliable cars in the world. They do it right every time. If you have a problem with other models, it's a rarity. American cars and German cars equal high purchase and repair costs and sucky reliability, and that's whats up.
I have had Mercedes, Volkswagens, Mercurys, Chevys, Triumphs, Minis, Austin-Healys, Hondas, Toyotas, ACURAS and I can tell anyone the Toyota and Honda products are the best value.
General Comments:
The TL is the most versatile fun luxury car to drive at its price.
A fool would only say that an American or German car is a better value.
The car drives and handles like a dream.
And durability is not an issue with Acura. If you take care of them they look new for years.
I have been in a situation where my TL was launched in air at 80 miles per hour and I landed onall four wheels and kept driving as if nothing had happened. SAFE car.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I agree with most of your comments as a TL Type S owner as well. The handling in my opinion would be much better with rear wheel drive. I also felt braking is not up to par. I also feel the front end feels a bit light at very high speeds and floats... in fact I felt the upper end is not safely achievable. My TL Type S had unsafe transmission issues totally unpredictable that I would not consider a safe vehicle to own. The sound system, engine power however are the best features.

Although the 6 disc Bose soundsystem is clear, the car handles well and acceleration is quick, driving a car in which the transmission falls apart 5 times is a disappointment. At 75K miles, I am on my 6th transmission. I will not even attempt to describe the danger this has imposed. Drivers, please be safe and cautious with this car.

I own a 2003 CL type S. After nearly 50 years of professional driving and numerous vehicles, I consider the CLS the best I've ever owned.
My only disappointent is the Onstar exclusion of analog phones.
I'm purchasing a second CLS for my youngest daughter.
Truely, a drivers car.
