1994 Acura Vigor GS 2.5
Summary:
An extremely reliable mid-level luxury sedan
Faults:
Ignition tumbler failed at 145,000. Couple hundred dollars to replace.
A/C failed last summer at 185,000. Need to convert to R134 this summer (2003).
Odometer and trip stopped turning at around 187,000. Removed the instrument cluster to investigate. The maintenance reset button had "jammed" causing the wheels to stop turning. Pushed the button in again and it solved the problem.
Replaced both front CV boots.
Replaced several leaky gaskets over the years.
Replaced back-lights for the radio.
Transmission has been making an odd noise in 1st gear for about 30,000 miles. Too expensive to investigate, but the transmission isn't slipping or grinding.
Oil pan gasket is getting replaced this week. $2.45 for the part, $390 for the labor.
General Comments:
The car has been extremely reliable aside from the recent problems (last 15,000 miles).
The interior is in excellent condition.
Paint job has been exceptional.
I'm afraid to have to replace it in the near future. There aren't too many cars on the market that have the same features for the same price. Although I will likely get another Acura.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

To be honest with you, what the hell do you need cup holders for when you have a passenger.
You should concentrate on the road and have some fun.
Honda designed the car to be driven and not used as a lunch table, coffee table, kitchen table or any other snacking table for burgers, fries or lattes.
Dude, you're driving! Be smart and look for the other fools eating, putting on makeup or looking at the bottom of a coffee cup instead of the road.
