General Comments:

This was my first car. My parents bought it in the early 90's and it's been in and out of our family many times since then. Up there it says we got it in '92. That's just a guess since I don't know.. Same with the starting mileage.

I've taken this thing everywhere, on road, off road, through bad weather, good weather, and everything in between.

Right now it is undriveable because of the transmission and brakes, but I plan to fix it eventually after my current car is 100%.

Anyway, this car has taken me all over and never let me down. I've left it without fuel oil or transmission fluid for days at a time and not one complaint. One of the tires blew on me, so that was replaced.

The thing I liked most in this car is how it handles in the snow. I've never even spun the (bald) tires on ice or snow, and it accelerates quicker than my mom's Chevy, and sounds like a tank coming down the road.

I'd definitely go Buick again, even if people think they're for "old ladies".

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I own a 1976 Buick Century with the 350 engine, and 3 speed automatic. I haven't gotten that many problems with my Buick, and it has 124,500 miles on it. I think that this car deserves Chevy's slogan- Like A Rock. This car is like a boat on the road. I throughly love this car.

I got my 1976 Buick Century in 1982. It was bought new by my father, and given to me in my senior year in high school. I beat the hell out of it when I first got it. Rebuilt the tranny, new carb, alternator, fuel pump, shocks, springs etc. But the engine has 138,000 original miles and is still going strong. Although I only take it out once in a blue moon, I still love her. Here is a link to some pictures of her.

My dad is givin' me a 1976 Buick Century, but I've only looked at the body and I need 4 new tires, new bumper, new doors, new seats, and a new paint job. I still haven't looked at the engine.
