1992 Buick Century Custom
Summary:
Best car ever
Faults:
In the winter, the car will sometimes leak a little antifreeze.
The brake booster wore out at around 80000 miles, and began to pull my brake pedal down all the time while I was driving. I had to manually hold the brake up with one foot so the car would actually move. That is, until I got it fixed.
Random pieces of it are falling off:
1 - A plastic panel inside the car between the front and back passenger side seat completely fell off one day.
2 - One of the Buick logo wheel covers fell off during a period of heavy driving.
3 - Parts of both the driver's side front door and passenger side front door are coming off (inner workings of the door).
The A/C stopped working long before I got the car.
One of the automatic windows stops working sometimes. It'll probably wear out all together someday.
General Comments:
I love the way it runs. It sounds awesome while accelerating and picks up speed quickly. However, when I brake, the car jolts a little.
This car can withstand minor accidents very well. Case in point, I was rear-ended in a snowstorm by a guy in an SUV. My car was just pushed forward, it didn't really crunch up or anything. The tail light panel was smashed since it's plastic and the trunk latch was a little bent, but that's about it. I had no injuries out of it, I barely even felt the collision. This car is built like a tank.
There is a huge trunk. It goes very far back into the car.
I have noticed the car retains a lot of heat in the summer. Opening the windows doesn't help, the air just goes past the car, not in it.
The seats are the most comfortable car seats I've ever sat in. Very cushy and soft.
I love the shape and angles of the car. The back end is truly magnificent; the tail light panel looks beautiful when lit up.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
