1999 Buick Century 3.1
Summary:
Great car - has been fairly reliable!
Faults:
I replaced the tires, and also had to replace the transmission at about 214000 miles.
General Comments:
This car has been nothing but great! It's comfortable and rides nice.
The transmission on the car went out at 214000 miles, and I replaced it for 125.00 for a used one plus labor. I used a shade-tree mechanic and total cost was $450.00!
This car makes lifter noise when you first start it, but once she warms up she's just fine. That 3.1 burns virtually NO oil! I have let the oil go to 5000 miles without changing (Shame on me!) and have not had to add any oil!
This is probably the most comfortable car I have ever driven. Seats are great and the stereo has fantastic sound quality!
The car has been very reliable and has started in the harshest of climates! (-20 below and blowing wind!)
I received this car for free from a relative, who was frustrated that the dealership wouldn't give her anything for the car due to the high miles - the price was right!
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

UPDATE:
I still have the car, and am nothing but happy with it! This car now has 305,000 miles on it, and STILL doesn't need oil between changes!
A/C just went out (I can't complain, let's be realistic), however it still runs fantastic!
