Faults:
The paint job started to go on the hood and trunk when the car was around 5. It was cheaply repainted by company (not allowed to be stated) with no clear coat. There is no hope for the current paint job.
The gear shaft handle has started to come apart.
The second visor on passenger side broke off.
The bottom half of the dashboard has started to crack at the corners.
The cassette player plays slower then it is supposed to. I'll just face it the receiver in general is going.
The retractable antenna and motor had to be replaced.
The carpet came up under the back seat and can be peals forward.
The drivers side front door automatic lock only unlocks and needs to be locked by hand.
There were little cigarette burns in between the arm rest and the passenger front seat from the previous owner.
The climate controls work fine, but the lights that illuminate them are burnt out under certain buttons and can't be replaced without removing the entire front of the dashboard.
The dry cleaning hood on the drivers side is cracked in half and falls of occasionally.
The to cloth wall panels on either side of the back window are worn and have little holes from sun damage.
The LeSabre sign in between the back drivers side door and the tail light is falling off.
All of the crome in the LeSabre decorative symbols are rusting.
The center cap of the back passenger side tire fell off although we found it on the road later that day (cracked in half) there another $100.
The exterior under the front bumper was cracked after hitting an unmarked and un-visible dip in the road.
The insulation in the back passenger side door was breached after the door was dented. So you can hear the out side more and more as the insulation slowly rots away.
The vent near the ratio on the driver side is stuck for some reason.
The armrest utility compartment is stuck closed and has not been opened in at least 3 years.
The vent in the door jam of the back passenger side door is cracked in many placed and needs to be replaced.
There is a gap in between the upper and lower back bumper because the car was tapped by another driver at an intersection.
All of the rims are scratched and dented because Mom can't parallel park a Buick. I'm not saying women can't drive, I'm just saying a 5'2" woman would have trouble after not driving anything that big before. My dad had trouble also.
That's it!!!
General Comments:
Although I pointed out so many problems with the car, it isn't that bad. The car actually looks pretty good (from a distance).
My family bought this car in 1995 when I was 9. At the time it was beautiful and even though it has a reputation for being an old persons car, but the car we owned always seemed to command my attention.
Now that I'm 17 I am driving the car now and probably will have it until 2008 when I'm finished college. I don't want to get rid of the car because it has a lot of sentimental value and I couldn't get anything else, but a junker for what its worth.
The car is dependable, the engine quiet, it has lots of power, all the exterior lights work and it has one of the most comfortable cabin areas.
I know I'm financially not able to fix the car up because I'm 17 can't afford it, and that would not be smart anyway since it's an 11 year old Buick so I'm applying the the new MTV show "Pimp My Ride" to restore the car to its former glory. And if I don't get picked I'll be no worse off.

I know how you feel, I felt the same way when I had my Buick. When you are an adult and can afford something nicer, you'll get over it quickly.
