General Comments:
The engine is good. There are no leaks and there is good power etc..
The brakes are a huge problem. Since day 1 the brakes never worked right. The dealer said they were normal. After the warranty ran out, the dealer said the master cylinder and booster were bad. They also told us that $5000 Canadian would fix it. Who has $5000 to fix brakes? We drove it like that for a couple more years with no ABS. Now the booster quit all together.
The car is now parked and we drive an 89 Ford Tempo. A much better car. So far no problems with it, but then again it's not a GM. Oh and the dealer offered to take the car off our hands for $1000 when it was only 5 years old. The dealer was Flag Chevy in Surrey in case anyone wants to sell their Buicks.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? No

I find it hard to believe that it was going to cost you $5000 to fix your brakes. It cost me $400 to get my master cylinder fixed. That also included new pads & rotors. It is quite normal however to go through two alternators on a car with 275,000 kms on it.The electrical problems you are having with the car is quite strange. It must have been built on a Friday. The car did last ten years and 275,000 kms so it couldn't have been that bad.
