1999 Buick Regal GS 3.8L Supercharged
Summary:
A very fast, nice-looking, but practical 4-door car
Faults:
For the first several years, the "low tire pressure" light came on whenever I would make a long, sweeping turn to the left. I would have to reset this switch. This has been fixed during a warranty visit to the dealership.
The dashboard rattled for the first 1 1/2 years of ownership. I had the dealership service department look at it several times. The 4th trip to the dealership fixed this problem. I have now had the car 5 years and no rattles anywhere on the car.
General Comments:
Very quick car with the supercharged engine.
It is comfortable for me at 6'4" tall.
The leather is comfortable, but frankly, of fairly cheap quality.
Save for the early dashboard rattling, this car is still as tight after 5 years as the day I bought it.
I was surprised at how low the gas mileage is (about 14 city and 26 highway). I had a Riviera with the same supercharged 3.8L just prior to this car and it got significantly higher mileage (16 city and 30+ highway).
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I purchased this car about 5 months ago... I'm thrilled! This is a very fast, well handling car. The low tire light does come on if snow or mud gets in the tires, but that's the only fault I have found. Very quick, I'm on the fire department, and I have stepped on it quite a few times, and it has always pleased me every time it throws me back in the seat. Did I mention they're heated? :)
