General Comments:

I bought this Buick Roadmaster to tow my boat after I sold my pick-up. We own a Lexus LS450 but my family prefers to take the Roadmaster on long road trips over the Lexus because they just love the Buick. I average 19.7 miles per gallon which is great when compared to the 13 mpg our high top Ford E-150 van gets. I chose this car when I learned that the 94-96 Roadmaster's use the LT-1 Corvette engine. The acceleration from a red light will hurt many a small import car owner's feelings. The car has needed nothing in the 15,000 miles I have owned it, other than the normal 6,000 mile interval oil changes. Towing, safety, fun and reliabilty makes this Roadmaster a choice you will be glad you made.

Faults:

A little over a year ago, I had to replace the tires with all 4 new ones. And then, I had to replace the exhaust system. Last month, the battery needed to be replaced. Other than that, the big beast has been trouble free.

General Comments:

My wife and I have had this car since day 1, and could not have been any happier with it. Even though the wagon is 11 years old, it still takes my wife, myself, our 4 year old male Rottweiler and our 4 kids on road trips to the New Jersey shore whenever possible. We never use this wagon in the snow, ice, or rain. We leave that responsibility to my 2003 Chevy Tahoe, or to my wife's 2001 Chevy Tahoe.

As for the wagon, it is white on the outside with a tan leather interior. To this day, the seats in this wagon are still in relatively great shape. We love how big and extremely roomy this wagon is. Sometimes when 2 of my kids have soccer practices or actual games, we bring along this big white beast and everyone just smiles when they see it. I mean you can fit a bunch of kids in this wagon. All of the kids love this wagon.

Its cargo area is huge with the third seat stowed, and even more huge with the second and third seats stowed.

This beast is so powerful, even on the main interstates. I mean you can have the family in this wagon, and cruise along at 80 miles an hour, and not knowing that you are going that fast.

Trust us, there is no way that we will ever be getting rid of this huge white beast. It has very loyal to all of us.

So if you are in the market for a station wagon that can easily seat up to 9 people and still pull a boat, or just a huge family wagon in general with lots of power on hand, look for one of these wagons, but not with overly high miles. If you find one with 100,000 miles or less on it, grab it immediately no matter what the price is. You in return will be rewarded with a family wagon that you will love for life like we do.

Faults:

Replaced shocks, tie rod end, fluids, tires, thermostat, will need rt rear window actuator. Heater core will clog from time to time, suggest removing core and flushing, should not need replacing. Thorough flushing of cooling system every 2 years is necessary for everything to function properly.

Door panels are loose on all road masters after some years. Will re glue and re screw panels as necessary.

General Comments:

Great performer, highway mileage around 25 mpg, city 18-20 mpg. Car is set up for towing up to 5000lbs. Can't wait to try it. Recently bought this car. Have worked on my friends wagon for 4 years and know a lot. Look forward to chatting in the future.
