Faults:

The windows in the front will not let down. The motor mount broke, the car kept running hot. I changed the thermostat, the radiator, and the heater core before I finally got it working. The lights stopped working and I have gotten everything working now except the dash panel and the tail lights. I have changed the bulbs and the fuses and I am really about to be fed up with it. The front driver seat is broken very badly and somehow, water is getting in and settling on the brand new carpet that I have had installed. The transmission is also leaking fluid even after I've had the filter and gasket changed on it as well.

General Comments:

I thought I had bought a pretty decent car because it started out perfect, but now I wish I would have left it at the dealership.

Faults:

Had to replace the Alternator in it and one brake line at 93,000 miles.

It takes a few try's to get the high beams to stay on at first, after that, no problems. 93,000 miles. I plan on getting that fixed soon.

Other than that, she runs great!

General Comments:

This car still has some get-up-and-go for being a not so young lady.

She keeps up the good tradition of "Nothing rides like a Buick."

Handle's great on the road.

This car has some descent uphill climbing ability not the best in the world, but hey, it's only a 4 Cylinder!

Faults:

About every three years I need to have the mass air flow contacts cleaned. Hesitation was hard to diagnose, but once identified, this fixes it every time.

Seat belt buckle casing broke at 62,000 miles.

Transmission lockup solenoid replaced at 65,000 miles.

Alternator replaced at 93,000.

General Comments:

Very strong, reliable car.

Great pick up for passing or entering traffic.

Lots of trunk space.

Has held up great over the years.

Faults:

I have had the front brakes including the rotors replaced four times.

I replaced the alternator and battery at 140,000 kms.

At 150,000 kms I had to replace the heater core.

At 155,000 kms the solenoid on the transmission went.

Most recently, I had to have the heater fan motor cleaned as the fan output wouldn't keep the windshield clear.

General Comments:

I purchased this car brand new and haven't had many problems with it until the last couple of years. None of the repairs have been that expensive either.

My Skylark has awesome pickup for passing on the highway and handles quite well up to 135 km/hr.

My original tires were Michelin's and I got 90,000 km on them. I had the alignment checked and it never needed adjusting.

Up until this year there was not one leak under the car. Recently, it started to leak a little tiny bit of oil.

I still have the original exhaust on the car and have not had to make any repairs to it.

I like the interior of this car and find it very comfortable. My husband, however has trouble getting comfortable once he finally gets in the car.

My Skylark has a great sound system.

My only complaints with this car is that some of the trim fits poorly and rattles frequently and the doors could seal better.
