1973 Cadillac DeVille Coup 472 C.I.D
Summary:
My Long Lost Doll
Faults:
The car was not running when I bought it. All it took to get it started was a coil and a starter.
I did complete brake and suspension work.
Replaced the tires and rebuilt the engine for reliability (the car had to be my daily driver). The transmission was in great shape, all I did was a screen replacement.
All I can say about the body was rust, rust and did I mention rust? I loved my old coup but it did get the nickname S.S. Rustoleum.
General Comments:
Other than the body problems, it was a great car and I had many great memories with it.
It was an awful gold and white color combination, but the interior was beautiful triple tone beige and brown with all those rich looking simulated wood grain dash and rear panels. I traded it even for a 1978 Lincoln Mark V. In every way my Lincoln is a huge upgrade over my Cadillac, but there are days when I miss looking out my rear-view mirror and see those light indicators winking back at me...
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

Cadillacs from the 1970s are the greatest cars in the history of the world. No other cars had bigger, more powerful engines in such cool body styles.... Cadillac is king!
