Faults:

Brakes.

Transmission went out at 130k.

Rear shocks.

Water pump.

Front wheel bearing.

Rear wiper.

Gas vent.

General Comments:

While the list seems long, we have liked the car. These items are expected in the mile range of our ownership. The vehicle is still very comfortable and drives very nice. The seats are plush, and the interior is what we like about the car. My wife got a newer one and I will now drive it for another number of years.

The engine has been terrific with great power and towing boats is not a problem. I also liked the AWD system for my wife.

While we have put money into it the last few years, it is still holding up well for Minnesota salty roads. There is very little rust. A great vehicle!

General Comments:

Great ride! I traded up from a Honda Element. Wow what a difference! And a huge difference in gas mileage too :( LOL. I don't mind though.

Everything in the truck is great. I may have wished I got the 6.0L AWD, but the 5.3 has a lot of kick as well. Especially with the powerprogrammer and corsa exhaust with a K&N cold air kit.

Faults:

No problems.

General Comments:

The ride is heavenly smooth.

The split third row seats are easier to stow than the bench seat and can be used individually. Great when you have a fifth passenger and still need room for luggage.

XM, Bose, & On-star are great features. Love the on board phone.

The navigation system is good, but programming it takes patience due to toggle operation.

Faults:

A few weeks after buying the car we noticed a rattle in the exhaust. Took it into the dealer, also having it's first oil change. They had the car out in good time. However, within the 60 mile ride home, the rattle was back. Bad adjustments on the dealers part.

General Comments:

I have now owned a 2000 Escalade and a 2004. Both have been the best SUV's I've ever owned. They have excellent performance and handling. The price is a little high for the 2004's, but if your looking for quality, comfort and an all around SUV that can handle anything you want to throw at it, then this Cadillac is your answer.
