Faults:
Magnetic clutch on A/C compressor came apart at 122297 miles (I never use A/C anyway)
Original right front brake hose collapsed in at 123409 miles making the pads release fairly slow. Fixed myself.
Original drivers side low beam just went after 16 years. Fixed myself.
Muffler is going to need to be replaced soon as it is starting to get thin in spots from rust.
Dash lights sometimes flicker off and on with headlights turned on at night, but not with Twilight Sentinel on, I have traced it to the switch in the dash. Easy fix.
General Comments:
I am 17 and this is the first car I've ever owned. I was drawn to this model by its sleek and sporty styling.
I bought the car off eBay in August of 2005 for $1800, and it has been a super car.
People warned me about the electrical problems with Caddys, but I have yet to see anything major go wrong with the electricals that I can't fix myself.
Handling is superb along with power, and the note from the exhaust makes me feel like I'm driving a hot rod!
The paint is in perfect condition because the car had been garaged its whole life and the interior is the same way.
All the accessories work perfectly and the engine runs like it's new.

I agree with you, Cadillac Sevilles are great. I have a 1991 Seville with the 4.9L and it is awesome! Runs and drives great. And if I take it easy on the pedal I can get about 320 miles to a tank of gas (I average 22 M.P.G.). I find it comforting knowing all that power is there if I need it. Granted all cars have the faults, but this one just has a special place in my heart, and I will keep her as long as I can.
