Faults:

Spark plug wire broke (my fault), alignment seems to be off a bit (front tires cupping).

General Comments:

I bought my Avalanche a few months ago, and so far it is the best vehicle I've ever owned. The people and cargo carrying options are amazing. It rides better and is quieter than most cars, and unlike most true pickup trucks, it is easy to park and it fits in the garage.

This is a very comfortable vehicle. Avalanche's share 85% of their parts with the Suburban, so they drive almost the same. It looks a lot smaller though, with the different back end.

Of course, the only minus is the gas mileage. But it is no worse than the 98 Chevy truck I used to have, and it is way more powerful and comfortable.

Sometimes I wonder if I need such a big vehicle, until I see another traffic fatality on the news involving a small car. I know cars and trucks are safer than they used to be, but SIZE MATTERS in a crash!!
