1997 Chevrolet Blazer LS
Summary:
This car is a lemon
Faults:
The E.G. valve has been replaced, which was very expensive.
I replaced the windshield wiper moter before the recall ever came out, I did it myself and didn't keep receipts so I couldn't get reimbursed.
Something inside the ignition switch was fixed.
The transmission just went out, so I got it rebuilt.
Rear black bumber has faded to white in certain spots.
Brakes have been replaced twice in thirty thousand miles.
Now, most recently It needs a tune up, and something they call a ignitor coil or something like that, has to be replaced witch is about a seventy dollar part by itself. I went to do the spark plug and wire change myself, but I quickly realized that they are about impossible to get too, and those wire clips are a pain in the butt.
The alternator has been replaced, and the whole air Condition system has been redone.
All in all, about $3500 in fixing things from 62000 miles to current, which I still haven't broke ninety.
General Comments:
When the car runs good, it has been a good car and has taken me plenty of places. The bad thing is that I'm still paying for it and can't get it paid because I keep having to fix it.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? No

I had a similar problem with the check engine light coming on and the truck losing power. Took it to the dealer, they dumped the codes and it turned out to be the ignition switch. They replaced it and I have not had the problem since.
