Faults:

Seat adjust broken.

Leaky oil cooler return lines.

Premature injector replacement.

Bad shifting algorithm on transmission.

Stereo stopped working early.

Windshield wiper mechanism flaky.

Slipping transmission from day one - no one has been able to solve.

Holes punched to mount front end off, so dealer cannot bring the front end into alignment all the way.

Replaced the entire AC.

Replaced intake manifold gasket.

General Comments:

The 4.3L engine is gutless.

Will never buy a GM product again...

Faults:

My sway bars broke last fall at 125k. Cheap fix, $90.00, I have an awesome uncle.

145k, need to replace both lower ball joints. $175.00.

155k, need an alignment and replace tires. $580.00.

Driver window stopped working today, and tachometer works for a while then goes black. That's next on the list.

General Comments:

Overall, I've had good luck with this SUV. Enjoy driving it, but does use a lot of gas in the winter, but most cars do in -25 temps.

My only complaint is the wind will catch you and blow you around a bit. Startles you on the ice a little.

I have drove through lots of snow with this car, and I have never been stuck goes through a lot.

Overall I would probably buy one again. I've owned other company's cars with worse issues.

Faults:

Air and water leak near passenger side front door A pillar.

Roof mounted tail light gasket leak allows water inside during heavy rain.

Driver's interior trim and door panel plastic developed multiple cracks.

Heater mixer door motor failed.

Throttle butterfly jammed because of failed rivet on cold running deflector.

Passenger exterior door handle bolt came loose.

Transmission torque converter failed around 125000 miles.

General Comments:

Good SUV for the money that I paid. Strong engine and smooth transmission. Tows a utility trailer easily. Radio and other electronics are nice and work well.

My only complaint is that a large person like myself feels that the interior room from a driver seating perspective is a bit cramped. The steering wheel and dash just seem too close... giving a slight sense of being in a smaller vehicle. However, the seats and the driving position are comfortable and the rear seat is fairly roomy.

Faults:

Fuel pump at 135,000 miles.

Idler arm at 100,000 miles.

Wheel bearing at 225,000 miles.

Alternator at 115,000 miles.

Door bushings at 100,000 & 210,000 miles.

General Comments:

I love this car. It has had some work needed, but it has been at higher mileage. I liked it enough that I have 3 Blazers and 2 S-10 trucks.

I agree with some of the comments elsewhere on this site, that if you do not do the maintenance, stuff will go bad like lubing the door bushings and ball joints.

Faults:

Power steering pressure hoses at 35000 had to be replaced.

I am on my 3rd set of ball joints.

Passenger side seat adjuster broke in the first week I owned it.

On my 3rd set of wheel bearings/hubs.

Original tires replaced at 65,000 miles, and I am on my 2nd set of tires, which are dry rotting (Michelin LTX).

On my 2nd battery.

Windshield wiper module replaced at 125,000 miles.

On my 3rd set of front shocks.

Gas gauge does not work.

The fan for the heater/AC does not have a 2nd speed.

Front speakers blown since 90,000 miles.

Rear windshield wiper does not work at 130,000.

General Comments:

The car has been very dependable and no body rot. Tie for something newer.
