2000 Chevrolet Blazer LS 4.3L
Summary:
Need a less costly SUV
Faults:
Reclining seat levers broke at 45,000 miles (vice grips work OK)
Replaced the wheel bearings about a year ago.
Upper and lower ball joints replaced at 80,000 miles.
The gas gauge does not operate because the electronic card that sits in the fuel tank shorted out (according to the dealer).
Serpentine belt replaced at 80,000 miles.
Oil cooler lines need to be replaced.
Replaced the brake pads more times than I would have cared to. Even had to replace the rotors once secondary to the excessive wear on the pads.
13 months after replacing the wheel bearings, I get to now replace them again.
General Comments:
This vehicle is a mechanics dream.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Don't Know

Well, with 192,000 miles you're going to go through that kind of thing at least once (though three sets of bearings and ball joints does seem above average.) Trucks and especially 4WD ones wear these things out faster than in a car.
Ever since Chevy started building them with the speed sensor inside, it's like they're made of tin and crackers, they just won't last.
