Faults:

Spare tire mounted on the rear looks good, but squeaks a lot and can be loud.

Check engine light came on, turned out to be a sensor that won't affect anything.

Gas gauge likes to jump, but works properly once you get going.

General Comments:

I love driving my Blazer, it's great in the winter, has a reasonable amount of power and is comfortable.

I have been on many road trips without problems. Gas mileage isn't the best, but it's a big V6 $x4 so that's no surprise.

Faults:

OK let me start off by saying that I have loved Chevy since I was a child. I started off with a 1998 Camaro, which was a pretty good car until about 100,000 miles when everything started going wrong, so I ended up parking it...

Then I moved to a 2007 Malibu, which I put the first mile on. It had never even been test drove... well I bought a lemon - everything went wrong from day one. I ended up getting into a wreck because the brakes went out on it with less than 500 miles, so I ended up buying a used Blazer...

Yes I know someone should have hit me in the head for buying another Chevy... but I did anyways, I purchased a 2001 used Blazer 2 door.

Well first the hinges on the door broke - my door closes but not all the way, so it leaks like crazy in my truck when it rains or when you wash it...

The gas gauge works when it wants to.

What is up with this Chevy? Everyone has these problems. My Camaro also did invest in better gas gauges!!!

OK, then it leaks brake fluid all the time... not sure what it's linked to but it does...

Then there is the over heating issue - must be leaking water from the radiator or something. I have to put water in it at least once a month...

Then driving down the road - it starts skipping so I'm thinking time for a tune up. Replaced the plugs and plug wires, which cost about $100, and note that it's very hard to get to on this truck, so if you're a do it yourself person, it's not recommended for this truck...

Well that didn't fix it, so I drove it and the check engine light came on, so I took it and had it put on the machine, and it came back as a mass air flow sensor problem. So this little thing is $150; purchased it and put it on, test drove it, and guess what, not the problem. So at this point that's about $250 in parts alone. Thank God I have a husband that can work on cars - labor at our local dealer is about $70 a hour.

OK so the truck is still skipping and the check engine light gave off a different code of another sensor, which is about $300. If it wasn't against the law, I would drive it off a bridge and collect the insurance, beings it's paid off.

NEVER BUY A CHEVY!!! Car or truck, I have had them both, and they freaking suck!!!

I will be driving this piece of crap to a Ford dealership and getting rid of it!!!
