Faults:
Other than the previous owner neglecting the preventative maintenance, I have had to replace the water-pump do to dripping from the backside of it.
Had a separated tire when purchased, I assumed it was the alignment and the Goodyear shop I took it to had no problem charging me for an alignment anyway, even the thought the read-out sheet they gave me showed that they didn't even need to align it! But they kindly alerted me to the seperated tire, and told me it would still pull to the left until I got it replaced.
I had a coolant flush done as a preventative measure, which was helpful because 30 miles later the water-pump started dripping. So I ended up with 2 coolant flushes, oh well, the Dex-cool is junk anyway.
I followed those with flushing every possible fluid in the truck as preventative maintenance.
Installed a K&N air filter, and straight pipe after the cat to keep it legal, and sounding great!
For the mileage, the motor is as strong as one with half the miles, Though I'd like 4X4 and a V8 I am satisfied so far!
General Comments:
The 5 speed transmission helps to get all 200 HP to the ground when I want to! (nice burn-outs!)
Would have preferred a few bucket seats, or at least a 60/40 style bench seat to the full bench seat that is in there now. Perhaps a trip to the junkyard could spruce up the interior with a few buckets!
I love the truck, it is the newest one I have ever owned.
It gets about the same gas mileage that my little ranger 4 cylinder did! Approximately 18MPG no matter how I drive it.
