Well this was my first car, and I got it for real cheap so problems were bound to happen.
However nothing major blew, and the parts were cheap. The starter and fuel pump were still under the store's warranty. The fuel pump was a real pain in the ass to get to. I was so pissed off at the store - it died on my way home from replacing the old one! Some parts are worth the extra $15 for peace of mind. I did 95% of the work myself.
The car got average gas mileage. I enjoy using a car's full power potential more often than most, which made the already poor city mileage much worse. But on the highway it compared well to cars with smaller engines.
Interior is roomy, comfortable and everything is well placed - if you're in the front. The back is a living hell for anyone older than 6. Hatch space is rather limited.
Acceleration and top speed is not horrible, but leaves much to be desired. Handling is superb for any car. Turns can be taken at impressive speeds - a blast on lonely, winding roads. I did upgrade the suspension a few months before selling it which made it even better.
Overall, a good car for someone that enjoys a little adrenalin every now and then. Also easy to fix up (fortunately).
Still, the condition of the vehicle, and the fact that it was a V6, forced me to buy an 89 camaro IROC-Z with the more motivated 5.7 L.
