1991 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 5.0L L89
Summary:
All in all, I prefer my Supra
Faults:
Exhaust went bad, muffler went bad.
Steering was awful.
Cruise control had to be replaced.
Original stereo and speakers went bad.
T-top seals leaked.
Cigarette lighter failed and caused a catastrophic short circuit that killed my horn, trunk release, security system, and a few other little things; I had to tear the whole dash out to fix it.
At a certain angle, the adjustable steering wheel will tear a chunk out of the dashboard.
General Comments:
This is a car that attracts people to it; mine was bright blue and it had the standard body kit that came on the 91 cars.
The interior was very spartan, with only what was needed to survive driving it, and no fancy bells or whistles.
The seats were comfortable enough, though the bolsters on the side were not adjustable and didn't keep me in place very well.
The steering on this car was incredibly loose. I could turn the wheel an eighth of the way around with no effect on the steering.
The suspension was very stiff, which was excellent for driving fast, but gave the car an awful ride quality.
The transmission in mine was re-worked for high performance driving, with a higher gear ratio for acceleration, at the cost of gas mileage on the freeway, the original transmission was very jerky.
The engine itself was excellent, had great linear power, and to be honest was very reliable. I never had a single problem with the engine while I owned the car.
Add the K&N filter charger, and dual flowmasters with a flowmaster muffler, and this car sounds great and gains a great deal of power
Very torquey engine, which was great in the summer, but not so great in the winter.
All in all, I loved my Camaro. It had its faults, but it looked great, was fun to drive in the summer, and was in general considered to be a very cool ride.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? No

Not sure why you gave it a negative review if you liked the car. Those third gens are fairly old cars so they are bound to have some things wrong with them. I bought my 89 Firebird Formula and it had several things fail on it such as the MAF, IAC, and MAF relay, but the engines in them are solid and they handle great. They are also cheap to maintain and cheap to modify. The Supras of those years had their problems as well.. such as the head gasket.
