General Comments:
This car is one amazing ride. Granted I've only had it for a few thousand miles it is the best car I have ever owned.
It is surprisingly comfortable for a ex-police car with the suspension package and the size of the motor and it drives relatively well. The seats are well padded and comfortable. However this is definitely a 2-passenger car, you would be hard pressed to fit someone in the backseat. The only blemishes are a tear in the drivers seat from the shotgun holder, and the headliner slags slightly on the drivers side from the window being down on the highway from its days as a police car.
The handling is amazing at any speed.
The steering doesn't get squirrelly on you on the interstate and it corners like its on rails.
Visually this car is equally as impressive. The ground effects look awesome and the hood, though the scoops are not functional, looks very mean and aggressive, definitely something you can't mistake for a 6 cylinder. Its style screams performance and has the power to back it up.
My camaro was purchased from the frontier county sheriff at 128,000 miles, still running perfectly after obvious routine maintenance. It now shows 175,000 miles, but I was told the motor was rebuilt. (?)
This car fires right up every day with no problems and runs and drives like new! Only the previous owner cut off the catylic converter so it is a bit cold blooded when its really cold and you have to babysit it until she warms up. I am very impressed with the age of this car that it still runs the way it does.
From a performance standpoint, this car blew me away. It has a 5.7 1LE performance package with the police interceptor. I am unsure if the shift kit came with this package or if it was an add on, but I love it. It is the fastest car I have ever owned (it would hang with my old 78 trans am 400) with breakneck acceleration and quick shifting. It is very responsive and peppy. Just a tap of the accelerator and the car lunges forward wanting more. 0-100 takes no time at all and the 700R4 tranny sports the overdrive option so it saves on fuel economy.
I love this car and am very happy with the purchase. Very reliable and a blast to drive. Plus...It's a Chevy.
Don't take it on the snow.

How did you get the transmission to stop slipping and jerking? I have a '91 Rs with the same problem.
