1996 Chevrolet Camaro Coupe 3.8
Summary:
I wouldn't recommend the 6 cylinder version to anyone.
Faults:
Mass Airflow sensor went bad at 63,000 miles.
Exhaust gas recirculation valve went bad at 64,000 miles.
Spark plugs and wires require replacing every 3,000 miles along with the oil.
Alternator went out at 100,000 miles.
Radiator, hoses and water pump, all had to be changed at 110,000 miles.
Clutch and transmission had to be changed out at 117,000 miles.
Coil pack went out at 125,000 miles.
Still can't get it to run correctly. Constantly misfires, backfires, stutters, stumbles, and sucks gas.
General Comments:
Car has good styling cues inside and out.
There are too many mechanical problems.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

The mechanical problems you listed are pretty common of any car with over 100 thousand miles. Things like the alternator and fuel pump eventually go out and have to be replaced. Same with the EGR valve and radiator hoses. Best thing to do in a high mileage car is to replace things like those before they go out on you.
