Faults:

Fuse blew twice.

All lights on the car had to be replaced.

Needed a radiator upon purchase of car.

General Comments:

One of my most favorite things about this car is the steering; it's weighted almost perfectly.

It's quicker than almost anything for this price. and then some...

It looks very unique and sexy with its deep set headlights and curves.

I had the choice of this, a supercharged Cobra and a 300ZX twin turbo and a 911. I chose this car over them all. 911 was fast but hideously ugly, the Cobra had no quality at all, and the 300zx was good, but not good enough.

I used to hate Camaros, but after driving this one, I love them, and am excited every day to go places in it. It makes me feel like I am 10, and I love it! It sounds so good as well.

If I dislike anything about this car, it's the freakin electronics in it. The car is sound, but the electronics can really give you a scare! Owning a muscle car can be a pain sometimes, but worth it for sure.

Honestly though, I got in a huge accident where a lady in a Tahoe smashed into me on the freeway, completely destroying my car. Totaled? I wouldn't let them... and I fixed the entire car for $400! Cheap parts and I didn't have a scratch.

This car is special, because you get the sense when they made it, they had sooooo much passion. And I am glad... very very glad...

Faults:

Well when I first bought it, I didn't realize, I think cuz of the excitement of having a Camaro, but the engine was making a knocking sound. It turned out the engine was no good. So I had to put a new 3800 series II engine with only 40,000 miles.

Also the spark plugs cables were kinda rusty, so I changed them out too.

I had a problem with the car heating up. I couldn't even take it out for a stroll cuz the gauge would quickly go up.

I had to take off the thermostat, and I put in a switch to have the fans turn on as soon as I turn on the ignition.

General Comments:

I am in love with this car. The handling is just perfect. I have the rear-wheel disc brakes and it's so efficient at braking when you need it. Although it could use more trunk space. I would never trade or sell this car. Also I've never had a problem with the t-tops. No leaks or anything. I also have a dual-exhaust Flowmaster. So believe me it does sound loud.

I also have two 12' kickers in the trunk with a 2000 watt Memphis amp.

The mpg is about 17, which is pretty efficient.

I just got my leather seats with the 30th anniversary stitched on them.

Faults:

Slightly leaks oil and runs a little hot on summer trips or high traffic.

Definitely prefers the colder weather, especially with the ram air.

Water pump went out at 114,00.

Snapped the stock clutch into pieces at 115,000. Which is just an attribute to how much torque this car makes!

Headliner started to fall, clear-coat started to peel, and dash began cracking all around 125,000.

Snapped main cluster shaft in the T-56 at 129,000.

Fun to drive, but is a little costly to maintain as a daily driver and a race car. I recommend using it for just the latter if you can afford to have a different daily vehicle.

General Comments:

FaSSt!!! This car is an absolute monster!!! It eats street tires for breakfast, and makes import drivers wet themselves!

I have taken this car to several SCCA autocross events, and made 29 consecutive passes down an 1/8 mile strip in early September in the hot Tennessee sun, and this baby does not miss a beat. I have beat the heck out of this car and enjoy driving it.

The best thing about this car is the special posi-traction rearend option that you could get with the SS package through SLP.

Seats are actually pretty comfortable on long trips too.

Sleek, Stealthy, Beautiful, and Scary all at the same time.
