2000 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 SS 5.7
Summary:
Unbelievable...I'd sell it in a Heartbeat
Faults:
This car is absolutely the most pathetic excuse for craftsmanship I've ever seen:
4 Batteries Replaced.
2 Electric Window Motors in the Same Window.
1 Turn Signal Toggle Switch.
Oil Leak.
1 Rack and Pinion Replacement.
Do you see how many miles I've driven it so far? Only a little over 400. I've only put 3 tank fulls of gas in this thing and see what's all gone wrong? The rack and pinion is actually mind boggling to me. I've never even heard of one of those going out and I've driving some old junk before with high miles. My car has only 65,669 on it and the Rack and Pinion is too dangerous to drive. Wasn't that way when I bought it a mear 400 miles ago. Unbelievable...that's the only word I can say...Unbelievable...I will NEVER buy another GM product for that matter. NEVER and I will tell everyone I care about not to buy one of these. How people like these cars is beyond me. "Like a Rock, is fine if you're not going to go anywhere."
General Comments:
Car is fast when it runs... if it runs. I have the battery out of it right now to keep it from draining again. I have a pan under it catching oil. If any of you think I'm making this up, come over to my house and see the Camaro, it is crap! I thought that trying chevy and seeing what grass was like on the other side would be OK, but this is what I get! I'm going back to my old Mustangs, which I know aren't near as fast, but at least one of those things will start every time you run them and not leave you stranded 50 miles away from home when you take your wife out to a steak dinner.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? No

Yeah, it's me, I wrote the review. I just started the car yesterday for the first time in a month or so, and lo and behold, it just ate another battery later on last night when I started it again.
The vehicle is now making motor noise and has leaked a bunch of oil at an alarming rate, backing it in and out of my driveway. Is this what General Motors is good for?
I'm still stuck driving my 1993 Toyota Corolla, my beater, or should I say the best car I've ever owned. I don't know, so frustrated I can't even put it into words. It's quite frankly, comical what's happened to me with this car. UNBELIEVABLE. NEVER AGAIN.

Have you tried tracing the source of the battery drain???
Did you check for oil leaks before you bought the car?
Buying used vehicles is always a gamble - you really need to do your homework & check the car thoroughly before spending your hard-earned money.
