Faults:

My radiator has a hole.

The front driver's seat is worn badly.

My gas tank has a leak.

General Comments:

This car is a very fast small car. The inside is very cramped for a family of five.

This car is very reliable. I've owned this car for 2 months, and have not had to put a single part on it; for a car that I paid 450 dollars for, that is a surprise.

Faults:

Power steering rack froze up right after I got it, replaced by dealer under warranty.

Belt broke (serpentine)

Oil pressure sending unit started leaking, cost me 25.00 at the repair shop to get fixed.

Blew the fuel injector (Not the car's fault, bought a tank of that cheap BP gas and it froze up that winter)

THAT'S IT!!!

General Comments:

I tell you what, I would buy another one in a minute!!! We flipped this car 7 times END OVER END! God had his hand on that car when it happened, this was a 2 door model and had 4 teenagers in it (we were 16-18 years old) and the only injury was a sprained wrist!! SAFE!!! This happened @ 60 miles per hour. It even still ran after they turned it right side up.

NEVER LET AN INEXPERIENCED PERSON DRIVE YOUR CAR!!!

Faults:

First in my poor cars defense it was used as a farm vehicle since 1987. So it saw lots of abuse. All of the below parts were needed because of this abuse.

I have been through 2 starters, both easily replaced. It has received one new alternator and a battery.

I replaced the entire exhaust system with a high performance one for added fun. The horsepower may be lacking, but it more than makes up for it with its torque and this added noticeable difference. Including the oxygen sensor and dough-nut gasket.

It was blessed with new shocks and struts.

Engine is currently blowing oil all over the place, but it still runs, go Chevy go.

General Comments:

Like a rock indeed all that broke was a sensor on the side of the engine. I will not sell this car until the rust completely takes over if I give it the chance to. The Acceleration is awesome top-end is lacking and it stops and turns quickly at any speed.

Faults:

Brake pads required changing often, but were easy for a do-it-yourself type.

Air conditioning went out in 2000 and I didn't bother to fix.

Water pump required replacement about three times over it's last 110,000 miles. Probably due to some other component like a misaligned pulley wheel or a belt tension adjuster that might have been too tight.

General Comments:

I miss my wagon.

It took me 40 miles to work and 40 miles back every day for years. Traveling over the George Washington Bridge and through the Lincoln Tunnel - battling with traffic. Lot's of power and the automatic never quit. Zipping around Manhattan - not a problem. Braking in traffic - also not a problem.

This is the most reliable car I've ever owned.

Used the roof rack for holding my kayak on weekends. My new Mazda Tribute/s rack isn't half as strong. Built more for looks.

My car met it's end when a big over powered FORD van drove into the rear while I was stopped at a turn signal. Seat belts work - The back of the car got crushed. My seat broke, but I sustained no injuries other than being sore from the shoulder belt and my stomach hitting the steering wheel.

I miss my Cavalier.

I just recently go over missing my Vega Wagon.
