Faults:
Basic oil changes and routine check ups.
My car stalled once in 99, but it ended up being nothing. It started a minute after it stalled.
Starter was replaced due to a recall last year.
My cruse control stopped working last year.
I've been in 4 run-in's with my rear bumper and not a scratch on it. I even dented my brother's driver's side door on his 96 Nissan 200 SX ($1000 damage for him and none for me).
My battery died 4 times, but it was also 6 1/2 years old and just needed to be replaced at 69,000.
My check engine light was on for 2 months and my mechanic said it was nothing, well nothing turned into my most expensive problem. Plus, I had to go through 2 mechanic shops for them to find out the problem. Just to find out what's wrong with my car is going to cost me $268.00 and that doesn't fix anything. My Oil and Water Pump need to be replaced as well as my serpentine belt which is going to cost about 2,000 (1700 is just labor). My oil pump could be a cause of bad gas, but has a kit to fix so cheverolet knows that it's a problem.
General Comments:
Even with my most recent complaints and the few things that have come up I still like my cheverolet, especially my power windows, locks and sunroof.
If it wasn't for the oil and water pump issue I would still love my cheverolet.
Though I am debating on whether I'm just going to junk it and get another one or pay to have it fixed.

I have a 96 cavalier...lets just say its been in the shop 6 times and the price has never been under $200. I've been warned about gettin this car and the year range. I don't recommend buying one. and yes the check engine light was on on my car too for a while, but shut off on its own..who knows. I cannot stand this car and I want to trade it in...cute, but awful car.
